We have vacancy for a results-oriented and self-motivated person for the role of LOGISTICS MANAGER and invite applications from qualified persons. The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is located at Takoradi.
Roles Defination & Accountabilities
- Plan and manage logistics, transportation, warehousing and distribution activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients and internal department.
- Optimize routes and transport schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Manage relationship with transporters, suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock control procedures.
- Prepare and manage Logistics Budget and control operational cost.
- Lead, train and supervise logistics staff and drivers.
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues.
- Prepare regular performance and operational reports for supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and legal requirements.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- MBA in Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
- Five (5) years progressive work experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching transport and logistics working environment.
- Must have a good knowledge in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) rules and regulations.
Technical Competencies
- IT Proficiency (MS Office suit and relevant software).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical (Reporting and decision making).
- Good leadership skills.
- Good presentations skills.
- Ability to lead and generate results for logistical support to implement organizational strategies.
- Excellent attention to details
- Good organizational skills and the abilities to manage time and prioritize work.
